Sponsored by First American Title

Saturday, March 8 — 2:30pm La Perla Del Mar

SLOIFFGuitarist, Tinh Mahoney, and several inmates at a maximum security prison find redemption through a simple act of kindness.

Intrigued by the school building project, Sophanthovong, and a young Cambodian, So Kosal, and Dwaine Little, a lifer, spearheaded a fundraising campaign inside the prison. Organizing a fundraiser within the confines of a maximum security prison is quite an undertaking. Mahoney, the inmates and sympathetic prison officials worked months to organize the event. This small story of redemption from such an unexpected place is a surprise not only to the audience, but to the inmates themselves. Documentary. USA/Vietnam. 30 m. Screens with Escape from Luanda.
