War veterans from Vietnam and Afgansti meet and find tolerance and understanding.

Brothers in Arms is a moving documentary about twenty American Vietnam veterans who, in the fall of 1988, traveled to the Soviet Union to share their experiences and emotions with Soviet soldiers who fought in the Afghanistan war (the topic of the recent film, Charlie Wilson’s War.) KEYT-TV News Director and Vietnam vet King Harris (now the morning anchor of First News in the Morning on KVEC 920) was the first TV news reporter to record this historic event. As the veterans open up to each other, in two languages, it is apparent that there is a common bond and a new understanding develops between men who fought these complicated wars. This film is as relevant today as it was in 1988, with a similar war now threatening the lives of thousands of innocent people. Journalist and local radio personality, King Harris will be in attendance. Documentary. USA/Soviet Union. 52 m. Screens with "Pop Foul" and "Stars".
