The Little Red Truck
Sponsored by SLO Little Theatre

Saturday, March 8 — 1:00pm Palm Theatre West Coast Premiere

SLOIFFWhen a little red truck from Missoula Children’s Theatre rolls into town, sixty local children take on an impossible task: to stage a full-scale musical in just six days.

You’ve heard the term “theatre magic?” This magical film demonstrates what kids can achieve when they believe in themselves. Following an intense week with five pairs of touring actor/directors in five diverse communities, filmmakers Rob Whitehair (Cal Poly grad) and Pam Voth capture the excitement, the challenges and the fun. On Monday, hundreds of children audition and rehearsals begin. On Saturday, in each community from Hollywood to a northern territory in Canada, the show goes on, and no matter how slick or how rough the final performance appears, the journey to get there has changed the children’s lives. And the audience loves them for it. Director Rob Whitehair and Producer, Pam Voth will be in attendance. Documentary. USA. 1 hr. 38 m. Screens with Oberschule.
