Tuesday, March 11 7:00pm Downtown Cinemas
When a jobless man happens upon a new job just by changing his shirt, he rolls with it and embraces his new job with pride. Panhandling, no new job, yes!
Directed by Eric Lee, this humorous dramatic film depicts a homeless man with low self worth who suddenly gains status with the purchase of a used black t-shirt in a neighborhood thrift store. Before wearing the shirt, people ignored him; now, everyone gives him attention. Of course, it helps that the shirt is emblazoned with the word Security. He becomes so confident in himself that he adopts the persona and begins working security at the local high school: work without pay or a proper interview. When circumstances dictate that a critical choice be made, he is put in a position to discover whether changes have occurred on the inside or whether all changes in his life are simply shirt deep. Dramatic Comedy. USA. 12 min. Screens with The Union.
