A successful publicist spins a web of deceit to save the ailing career of her lover, but the web becomes increasingly tangled as events spin out of her control.
Two lovers, one novel, one terrible secret…Alex Burke is a top book publicist who can spin any story to the benefit of her clients, and to the detriment of her enemies. But this time, she’s crossed the line between professional and personal spin jobs. She must spin her web to protect her lover, James Hughes, a former National Fiction Award winner whose last three novels have failed. Just before James is scheduled to introduce his new novel to the nation’s top literary critics, a horrible betrayal is revealed, which threatens to destroy them both. Ultimately, Alex comes to realize that every spin has its consequence — even one that was borne out of love.
