San Luis Obispo International Film Festival

"If you build it, he will come."
Field of Dreams, 1989

Recently rated one of the 10 Best Places to Live in the United States by Spering's Best Places and located halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo is the jewel of California's Central Coast.

The festival is happening in venues all over the county this year with films screening in Paso Robles, Santa Margarita, San Luis Obispo, Avila Beach and Shell Beach. The county is proud of its unique, historic California townships with numerous charming hotels and B&Bs, gourmet restaurants, wine bars, picturesque creeks and ranches, boutiques, specialty shopping and the historic Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa.

Visitors to this area can also enjoy breath-taking ocean views and beaches; world-class, award-winning wineries; idyllic areas for hiking, biking, surfing, and kayaking; several challenging golf courses; a world famous outdoor Farmer's Market; and several relaxing spas and hot springs. The beach breaks in Morro Bay and in Pismo offer world class surfing, and The Morros (known as the Seven Sisters) provide some of the most beautiful hiking vistas in the state of California.

The San Luis Obispo Visitors and Conference Bureau website also contains information about fully enjoying your stay in the county during the Festival.

The San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce's VisitSLO.com website can help you plan tours and wine tasting and find some of the community's many fine hotels and restaurants.
