at the Avila Bay Club in Avila Beach

The Avila Bay Club is hosting an evening of six of the best short films previously seen at the SLOIFF
(along with one new one being previewed before the 2011 Festival).
This is an adult event but all films are rated PG-13 or PG.
Excellent wines from Sculpterra Winery and delectable desserts will be available for purchase and admission is free to club and non-members. Chairs will be available but bring a blanket to wrap up in after sun-down and be prepared to enjoy a great eclectic mix of shorts, all under 15 min. long.

PERILS IN NUDE MODELING        
Scott Rice won a Student Oscar for his hilarious short film about an art student struggling through a very intense life drawing class. Won the Best Student Film Award at the SLOIFF in 2006. 10 min.

A SENSELESS ACT
This film was produced during the 2007 reality show "On the Lot". Director
David de Vos was given the logline, "Something important is lost...." and in a week, he and a small crew produced this clever short, screened at the 2008 SLOIFF. 5 min. 

HELP WANTED
This inspirational story of a middle-aged auto mechanic and his young helper was screened at the 2009 SLOIFF, with lead actor/director Teo Guardino in attendance. 13 min. 



MISS SHADE IS MISSING
A class of 3rd graders tell the story of the day their teacher was replaced by a hapless substitute in this light-hearted short documentary. This film will be screened at the 2011 SLOIFF. 12 min.


PIGEON IMPOSSIBLE
An hilarious 6-minute romp through the streets of Washington D.C. as the hero fights to save himself and the world from the chaos reigned down by a hungry pigeon. Screened at the
2010 SLOIFF. 6 min. 
THE FRANK ANDERSON
Frank Anderson has man-boobs and desperately wants breast reduction surgery. But first he must convince his insurance company it's a necessary procedure. Stars Jane Lynch, Stephen Root and Richard Riehle. Won Best Short Film at the
2007 SLOIFF. 13 min.
