Follow this STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE or this STEP BY STEP VIDEO detailing how to redeem your Fan Pack after your purchase.
A Shorts Program is a curated series of short films that play back to back in a single screening slot. Each of our shorts programs will offer a Q&A with attending filmmakers after the films. Each shorts program will play 3 times throughout the festival, and will be available virtually during our Virtual Encore Week.
Absolutely! You can pick up a physical program guide at our Box Office the first week of April, at our venues around the Central Coast or at SLO Chamber Visitors Center. Come on in so you can start marking it up and making a game plan!
This year we’re returning to all of our staple festival venues! The Fremont Theater, Palm Theatre, Downtown Centre Cinemas and Park Cinemas! As well as Hotel San Luis Obispo, Kruezberg California and The Bay Theater.
The SLO Film Festival is an International Independent Film Festival featuring films of all genres, lengths and budgets from around the world. With over 125 films scheduled throughout the week there is something for everybody!
Yes! Come learn from the pros! We will be hosting panels in our Festival Lounge during the weekend of the festival!
We are extending the festival past the 6-day experience. Whether you are out of town and can’t make the in-person screenings from April 25–30, would rather watch from the comfort of your home, or just want to continue the festivities into May, we have multiple offerings!
VIRTUAL FESTIVAL: Watch the available festival films from the comfort of your own home from May 1-5.
PASO ROBLES ENCORE: May 2-5
Look on a film’s page to see if there is a virtual showtime. Some films are restricted to view only in California and some have limited virtual capacity, so we suggest booking online in advance for individual ticket buyers and Fan Pack holders.
Visit VIRTUAL.GOELEVENT.COM to view films. If you have an All-Access Pass (Movie Mogul Pass, Movie Star, Sponsor All-Access, Filmmaker All-Access) or a SLOFilmFest@Home Pass, please log in to the PASS HOLDER area. If you have a Fan Pack 6 Package or have purchased individual tickets please use the TICKET HOLDER area. Films can be played on your desktop or on your Smart TV through Chromecast or the Elevent App in Apple and Roku stores.
Incredible films that in most cases you wouldn’t get to see outside of the festival, Q&A’s with visiting filmmakers, special events, live music, mingling and FUN!
We suggest arriving a minimum of 35 minutes before a screening begins. When you arrive at the venue there will be a PASS HOLDER LINE (Movie Mogul, All Access Sponsor, Filmmaker, Movie Star Pass), a TICKET HOLDER LINE (Fan Pack 4, Fan Pack 6, Individual Tickets who have reserved a specific film in advance), and a RUSH TICKETS LINE (those who show up last minute without reserving a ticket in advance. Includes Fan Pack 4, 6.) Get in your corresponding line.
PASSHOLDER LINE: Gets let in 30 minutes before showtime
RESERVED TICKET HOLDER LINE: Gets let in 25 minutes before showtime.
WALK UP LINE: Gets let in to purchase or redeem a ticket 10 minutes before showtime after all passholders and reserved ticket holders.
Any late-coming Pass Holders or Reserved Ticket Holders will be let in first come, first served. Having a pass or a ticket does not guarantee you admission to the screening if you do not show up early, but ticket holders will be reimbursed in the off-chance of not being admitted. Please arrive early.
PASSHOLDERS: Just bring your pass! Make sure you’ve picked up your physical pass with your name and barcode at our Box Office. We will not accept printed confirmations at screenings.
RESERVED TICKET HOLDERS: Bring a printed ticket or use your phone to display the QR code to the specific screening or event.
FAN PACK WALK UPS: Get checked in at the door using your name. Remember: Fan Pack Walk Ups can only be used by one person, not multiple. For multiple tickets you must reserve in advance online or at the Box Office.
Parking downtown? The best place to park is our parking structures, there are three main parking structures:
In the parking structures only your first hour is free and if you’re spending most of the day downtown we recommend paying the daily max rate of $12.00. Parking is free all day on Sunday, April 28th.
Street parking rates in downtown San Luis Obispo range from $3 to $4 per hour depending on where you park. It is more expensive to park in the downtown core than in outlying streets.
Paying for parking:
Use one of on-street parking pay stations with cash or credit card, or skip the line by downloading one of the four parking payment apps.
